Romantic Annapolis Engagement

Naomi and Chris had their engagement photoshoot and were open to answering some questions. Read their interview. What a happy couple!

When and where did you meet? Tell me the WHOLE story!

Neither of us remember where we met. But both of us assume it was at the campus ministry we were both involved in in college. We went for three years only talking occasionally until our senior year when a mutual friend encouraged Chris to ask me out.

What is your favorite thing to do together?

We love learning together, having deep conversations, watching comedy and superhero movies.

Where was your first date? How was it? What did you do? Tell me the whole story!

Our first date was at a Starbucks near our campus. We ended up talking for hours about comic books, star wars, school, our passions… so much.

When did you know he/she was the ONE?

Chris: After our first date, I knew there was something special about Naomi, and a few months later I knew she was the person I wanted to spend the rest of my life with.

Naomi: It took me a lot longer to know but I remember when he was nearing his graduation I was really excited about supporting about him and realized how much I wanted to support him in the rest of life.

What made you fall in love with your fiancé?

Naomi – Seeing how much he cared for others (family, friends, and students). He makes me laugh. He supports me in hard times. It’s not one big thing that made me fall in love with him. But lots of little things that made me see what a wonderful person he was.

Chris: Naomi has a kind heart, and is constantly looking to help others and support them.

How did he propose?

Chris had an elaborate proposal plan that was messed up by Covid. He is still holding onto his original plan for another time but he planned a wonderful proposal anyway. He took me on a picnic at a park near the University of Maryland. When I was in school years ago I would go to that park and always thought it would be a cute spot for someone to propose. We sat by the lake, had some wine, and he got down on one knee, and asked me to marry him.

When you think of your wedding day, what do you envision? What is the most important thing for you?

Having our family and close friends with us. They have supported us so much and we look forward to sharing this with them,

Date of your official engagement?

August 14, 2020

How long have you been together?

It will be 5 years on November 24th

What made you decide on your engagement session’s location?

I grew up in Maryland and Annapolis is one of my favorite places. I’ve really enjoyed taking Chris to my favorite coffee shop and taking him crab picking for the first time in Annapolis.
