Urban Elopement, San Francisco

For the perfect intimate ceremony in a bustling city, the San Francisco Botanical Garden is one of San Francisco’s best kept wedding venues. Shelby and Matthew’s gorgeous elopement in the Redwood Grove was nothing short of magical.

Shelby tells us a bit about how she and Matthew met and how they decided to elope:

“We met at work, and I pestered him until he agreed to a date.

Covid ultimately changed our wedding plans, canceled our venue, and made the idea of a wedding seem irresponsible and impossible. Reading about simply eloped renewed my enthusiasm for the wedding. By catering to a smaller crowd and offering all inclusive wedding packages I was sold!

We were initially supposed to get married in Berkeley under the redwoods so we knew we wanted to be in the redwoods. And our immediate families are quite big so having a location that offered 30 guests was ideal. And it really was the most beautiful location.”
