We wanted to show our brides that you don’t have to miss out on the beautiful details with a bridal shoot. Mixing Vintage with a touch of Modern, this vintage dress was our inspiration. Handmade sea glass earrings, a circular bouquet full of bright Florals, and a Vintage pearl costume ring sets the mood.
Olive and Ivory Photographer Jenn Dukes has way of making people feel so comfortable in front of a camera. Her natural/moody style and attention to detail shows throughout this shoot. We wanted to show brides the option of getting ready somewhere beautiful. We were fortunate enough to have Mac McAbee owner/stylist of Coven Haircraft open his studio to us. Walking into Coven is and experience all its own. Exposed brick walls, vintage wood vanities, and lush plant life surround you. This provided the perfect backdrop for our bride to get ready. Coven is truly a work of art, as is Mac’s work.
To incorporate a Charleston feel we wanted to be on the water. The La Niña a Swift Trawler is a beauty all on her own. She’s so perfect for an elopement wedding. Couples have the option to stay the night if desired. The owners Dara and Adrian Sawczuk are so gracious and accommodating.
This shoot was so much fun for us. Also, ending the day on the water, eating coconut cake with friends isn’t half bad. -Krisdee & Sarah
