How did you meet?

“Mike and I met the summer of 2014 playing volleyball with mutual friends and it was love at first sight!”

Why did you choose to elope?

“Mike popped the question in July of 2019 and then 2020 hit so we held off on any wedding plans, then 2021 I spent a couple month away filming as a survivalist for Naked & Afraid on the Discovery channel, once January of 2022 came and, Mike returned home from a 4 week hunting trip, I showed him the Simply Eloped webpage that I had found. We always had talked about a small wedding and did not want to wait any longing to finally be husband and wife. We chose to elope because of our hectic schedules and always being on the go, we LOVE traveling together and the outdoors is a huge part of our lives.”

How did you choose your elopement location?

“While we were looking at the possible locations that Simply Eloped offers, we found the Cataract Falls locations and it just seemed perfect for us. We could have never imagined truly how amazing our wedding day was going to be. They say “rain is good luck on your wedding day” well it rained over 2 inches and what a blessing that was. We had considered postponing the ceremony but something in my gut told me to stick to our plans. The rain reminded us that life is not going to be perfect and as long as we are at each other’s side that is the only thing that matters. Little did we know that our ceremony turned out to be more perfect than we could have ever dreamt of! All the rain fall made for absolutely stunning photographs, the waterfall was gushing, and the rain had let up at the perfect time for us to have the ceremony, just to start raining again for our first kiss. Yes we were soaked and a little muddy too but Chelbe our photographer captured the real us. Life truly is about learning to dance in the rain. We could have never planned more perfect details and we will forever be grateful for trusting God that this was how our wedding day was meant to be.”
