Something Borrowed, Something Blue-themed Spring Wedding Styled Shoot in St. Louis

I am a veteran speaker at the annual photography convention, Shutterfest which takes place every April in St. Louis.  My niche in education is in styled shoots – I teach new photographers how to come up with a concept, get vendors to work with you, how to get published, etc.  I also put a full styled shoot together with pro models and all the details so they have something to photograph and can build their portfolios, practice, etc.  Every year is a different theme, and this year I am calling it “Something Borrowed, Something Blue”!

In Colorado we see a lot of “rustic elegance” or “boho”, so I wanted to do something I hadn’t done before (as always).  The class is always held in the courtyard at the amazing Union Station hotel, so whatever the theme is has to fit that venue.  I am loving the romantic blues and whites, perfect for that spring setting.

I got to work with an amazing vendor team, local to St. Louis, and we had a blast, despite the drizzle (hey, it’s April!).  It reminds me of “Paris in the springtime” and I am thrilled to share this shoot!
