Laurel and Joel’s Sunset Mountain Top Wedding at Hawkesdene

Laurel and Joel’s wedding at Hawkesdene in Andrews, NC was absolutely beautiful! We had the most amazing late summer day with bright sunshine, moderate temperatures, and a cool breeze. It was the perfect setting for these two to show off their love in front of family and friends!

When I first talked with Laurel and Joel about their wedding photography, I could feel their calm and relaxed personas through the video chat. It sounds silly, but it’s true! They are such an easy going couple, who truly wanted their wedding day to be all about spending time with their friends and family, and having a ton of fun in a naturally beautiful place. They certainly achieved that! I had such a wonderful time interacting with all of their guests and capturing their big day at such a beautiful wedding venue!

One of my favorite parts of Laurel and Joel’s wedding day was their ceremony. They stood tall and confident in front of their guests and each other, while they vowed to be connected and married for the rest of their lives. Their handwritten vows were sweet and fun, and their expressions after their first kiss were pure joy! I LOVED their bubble recessional and the fun cheers and smiles that it brought, too!

Before I close this blog post, I must take a moment to say that Laurel was such a gorgeous bride! Her lace dress and long veil were a perfect pair, and the bouquet that she carried was a wonderful addition!

As you can see, this wedding, at one of my all time favorite wedding venues, Hawkesdene, outside of Asheville, NC was absolutely incredible! It was gorgeously set among tall trees and singing birds, and was so much fun!
