Romantic Picnic Session Among the Wildflowers

“You belong among the wildflowers. You belong somewhere close to me.” Two sentences that so perfectly describes this couple, and also two sentences from what will be their wedding song in August. This love story started only a couple of years ago when a boy from Minnesota fell in love with a California girl. As fate would have it, Ryan was recruited by Leslie’s company, and only months after they first met they were united in California and the romance blossomed.Ryan went down on one knee and proposed to Leslie on New Years Day of 2017. He had picked a spot that was very special to Leslie as it was one of her dad’s favorite places before he passed away. Ryan had also included the rest of Leslie’s family in the proposal by asking for their blessing at a separate occasion prior to the big day. Eager to start this new journey together, the couple started planning a wedding for August, only 8 months after the proposal. With both of them loving the outdoors, going for picnics and hiking the gorgeous trails around California, they knew they needed to incorporate it all into their session. Mission Regional Trail in San Diego served as the perfect backdrop. With the rain that’s blessed California over the winter, the grass was greener than it’s ever been before and the flowers were blooming across the fields.
