Yvonne adores purple. From lilac and lavender to amethyst and plum, she knew she wanted her wedding to be draped in shades of her favorite hue, so her winter wedding became the perfect purple fantasy! This San Francisco based couple were high school sweethearts and when Alan proposed at Twin Peaks, with it’s spectacular view, the Blue Angels were soaring overhead giving the moment an extra celebratory feel!
Yvonne started the day in a classic white, mermaid cut gown before changing into a traditional red Chinese wedding dress later in the evening. She chose three different shades of purple for her bridesmaids’ gowns which created a gorgeous ombre-like effect in her photos and Alan wore a dark suit while his groomsmen looked dapper in grey. All the gentlemen wore ties in shades of purple plaid to compliment the theme of the day.
After saying their “I do’s” in front of the grand fireplace at the Hillsborough Racquet Club the couple headed to the King Wah Restaurant for their reception where the walls had been draped with glittering fabric in lilac, lavender and white. Yvonne and Alan accented their color scheme with pale purple uplighting, creating a dream-like atmosphere for dancing and celebration. Each guest received lavender seed party favors so they could bring a bit of purple home with them and always have a reminder of this amazing day, right in their garden!
