Rachel and Travis’s Blended Family Says “We Do”

When Rachel and Travis met and fell in love they each already had children, so when this Tacoma Washington couple decided to tie the knot they knew they were uniting more than just a couple, they were officially joining together a whole new family. They chose to have an outdoor ceremony that included their kids and held their reception in a rustic barn space that boasted a fireplace in one corner and was decked out with twinkle lights and vintage-inspired chandeliers.

Rachel and Travis’s chosen colors of seafoam green and pale peach were a playful contrast to the rough hewn wood of the barn where their reception took place. Gold chargers leant a bit of sparkle to the rustic decor while simple country accents like seafoam ball jars as floral vases gave the day a down home feel. Rachel outfitted her bridesmaids in seafoam chiffon gowns while she wore an empire waisted lace and tulle gown with spaghetti straps and a traditional long veil. Travis opted to go without pairing his grey suite with a tie to keep a more upscale casual feel to his look and his groomsmen were handsome in matching vests.

The floral arrangements, a mix of peonies, roses and wildflowers, picked up the peach and pastel shades of the day and personalized touches like beer koozie party favors and an ice cream cart added a lightheartedness to the celebration. After dinner, Rachel and Travis’s guests enjoyed an entire dessert buffet before dancing the night away!
