Carissa and Tyler’s Vibrant Waterfront Wedding

Carissa and Tyler got married on the water in Groton, Connecticut on UConn’s Avery Point campus. The venue offered them an outdoor ceremony site with stunning views of the Long Island Sound and the amazing Branford House, a classic 19th century mansion modeled after the famous Newport mansions in Rhode Island.

With so much green lawn and expansive views of the water, Carissa went for whimsy when deciding on the color palette for the wedding’s decor. The florals were a vibrant mix of purples, pinks, peach and blue with roses, hydrangea and lilies and each table at the reception had different colored napkins on gold chargers to enhance the colorful decor. The dark wood walls of the ballroom provided just the right contrast to make this summer wedding’s bright and vibrant theme pop!

The multi-colored palette carried through to the bridesmaids’ dresses. They were all the same style, but in bright, vibrant colors that mimicked the floral designs. Carissa’s dress was an absolute stunner with intricate beaded details on its bodice and her floor length veil made quite an impact. Vintage-inspired rhinestone earrings finished off her look and gave a nod to the extraordinary history of the Branford House. Tyler looked perfect in his white dinner jacket and his groomsmen were handsome in gray. We just love the feeling of joy that the colorful styling of this wedding gives us!
