When it came to the styling of her wedding, for Mimi, it all started with the dress!
“When I fell in love with my wedding dress, I knew I had to have the wedding party match the level of attire. It was an ivory satin ball gown by designer Zac Posen and I knew that men needed to be in black and ladies needed to be in full length dresses. Jesse wanted to be in a brighter blue suit to stand out from his groomsmen. A blue suit with a black tie is all the rage these days, so I was okay with it,” says Mimi. We don’t blame her either, that gown is an absolute stunner. We love it’s clean, elegant lines and classic satin is always in style!
Mimi and Jesse chose the Arrowhead Golf Course in Littleton, Colorado as their venue for it’s gorgeous mountain views, which provided the perfect backdrop for their outdoor ceremony. The landscape also inspired Mimi’s color choices of light gray and black for her bridal party and the pops of pink, peach and coral within the florals.
At the reception, where the decor was completed by gray and gold accents and tea lights, Mimi and Jesse shared their first dance to Nat King Cole’s L.O.V.E. Mimi says “dancing with my husband for the first time and swinging my dress around” was one of her favorite parts of the wedding. After a few speeches from friends and family, this stylish couple enjoyed a buffet style dinner and danced the night away!
