Amanda and Al wanted a small wedding where they could really “spoil” the friends and family who made the trip to celebrate their big day with them. Amanda had dreamed of a destination wedding since she was a young girl, so they chose to travel to the Dominican Republic with an intimate group of friends and family to throw the party of a lifetime. A private round of shots for the bridal party and a sunset boat cruise for photos with the bride and groom were only some of the highlights of this fun-loving couple’s amazing celebration.
Amanda’s dress was an absolute show stopper with its billowing ruffled skirting and lacy beaded bodice and we can’t get enough of the bridesmaids’ pastel color scheme. The ladies looked beachy and beautiful in their non-matching gowns which were coordinated perfectly with the groomsmen’s ties. Paired with light gray slacks, the guys’ look was just right for the light and airy styling of the day and Al made a handsome beach side groom in his sand colored vest and pants which he paired with a white tie and sandals.
The ceremony took place right on the beach under the shelter of a white gazebo with flowing white linens for a tropical feel. It included a sand ceremony, where the couple poured different colored sand from separate bottles into one large bottle to signify the joining of their lives, and ended with a fun mini beach ball toss as Al dipped Amanda into a dramatic first married kiss. After the kiss, guests enjoyed cocktails on the beach and posed for photos in the warm Dominican sunshine. Amanda, Al and their bridal party snuck away for a fun bar side photo shoot to commemorate the bride and groom’s meeting, before everyone climbed aboard a pontoon party boat for dinner and a sunset cruise.
