Erin and Scott: A Winter Wedding in the Desert

by Amy Serrago

Erin and Scott put a twist on the traditional. They held their winter wedding at the stunning Sanctuary at Camelback Mountain in Arizona. The venue boasts amazing views of the Arizona desert, an outdoor ceremony space and a luxe indoor ballroom for the reception. The day started with first looks under the Arizona sunshine and a traditional Jewish wedding ceremony that ended with the breaking of the glass. Cocktails were served on the patio before the party moved inside where the reception space was decked out in a monochromatic color scheme of white, cream and gold. On the tables, tall vases of bare branches were surrounded at their base by white hydrangea and sat atop white table cloths with a modern gold brocade pattern. Completing the decor were dozens of votive candles, clear chargers and gilded signage.

Erin’s dress was classically beautiful, reminiscent of Audrey Hepburn’s style with its sleek satin, fitted styling and removable train. The bridesmaids’ elegant cream colored gowns stood out against the desert backdrop and were perfect for an upscale winter wedding. Scott and his groomsmen were dashing in their traditional black tuxedos and the all-white florals brought an air of sophistication to the day’s styling. After dinner and speeches, guests cut loose on the dance floor, some of them even got into the act with the live band that rocked the night away. Congratulations Erin and Scott!
