High school sweethearts Lauren and Jacob met in middle school and have been together ever since. They chose the Downtown Market in Grand Rapids Michigan for their wedding because its greenhouse offered them a uniquely modern, yet bohemian styled ceremony and the banquet space boasts floor to ceiling windows to showcase the cityscape outside. They exchanged vows under a wooden arbor draped in flowing pink fabric and lush green ivy as the sunlight beamed through the greenhouse’s windows. And after their first kiss as husband and wife, the downtown location was the perfect spot to get some fun and funky urban portraits with the wedding party.
Lauren was beyond beautiful in her flowing, boho-chic gown with its sweetheart neckline and off-the-shoulder sleeves. She finished her look with a sparkling beaded belt and a knockout pair of dangling earrings. Her bridesmaids were pretty in pink gowns and each lady wore a crown of greenery adding to the day’s boho-inspired style. The bouquets were wonderfully whimsical, featuring pale pink roses, mums, wildflowers and greenery and Jacob and his groomsmen were dapper in navy blue suits paired with vintage-inspired blush floral ties.
The reception tables were set with crisp white linens and dusty rose napkins. Floral centerpieces mimicked the bridal bouquet’s lush styling and gold chargers and accents like votives and lanterns brought sophistication to the tablescapes. Lauren and Jacob’s head table was draped in greenery and behind it hung several large wreaths. Each guest was given a mini succulent as a favor and after dinner Lauren, Jacob and their guests had an awesome time on the dance floor. Congratulations you two!
