Doug and Anna met on a camping trip with friends in their home state of Missouri. Sitting by the campfire, they could feel the sparks fly between them as they gazed up at the stars, pondering what might exist beyond them. They dated through college and then they decided they would move from St. Louis to San Diego. Anna says they enjoy adventures and taking risks together. So, they packed their bags and Tiger Lily, their cat, and drove 2000 miles to their new home. The experience only made their relationship stronger.
Doug was ready to propose, he had the ring and everything, when they decided to take a spur of the moment trip to San Francisco for Christmas. On Christmas eve, they rented bikes and rode across the Golden Gate Bridge. Doug had been carrying the ring with him on the trip, waiting for just the right moment to pop the question. When they got to the northwest side of the bridge, they rested at the Battery Spencer overlook. The waves were crashing below them, the sun was poking through the clouds and the city skyline was in full view. It was beautiful. Perfect. Doug asked Anna to look to the west so he could snap a picture of her, but when she did he took out the ring instead. He got down on one knee and asked her to marry him. Anna answered with a resounding yes! Some nearby picnickers were so moved that they congratulated them and they all shared some champagne. Congratulations Doug and Anna, we cannot wait to see the wedding pictures!
