Candace and Daunta’s Mountain Top Vineyard Wedding

by Amy Serrago

Candace and Daunta met as young teens and quickly became great friends. As they grew, so did their bond and eventually their friendship turned to romance and true love. They exchanged vows at Gorge Crest Vineyards with the venue’s breathtaking views of Oregon’s Mount Hood serving as their wedding altar. The day was gloriously sunny and vintage-inspired bird cages brimming with red flowers lined the aisle as Candace made her way to Daunta. After their first kiss as husband and wife, the newlyweds had fun posing for portraits with their impeccably styled wedding party.

Candace was radiant in her lace mermaid cut gown with its sweetheart neckline and detachable lace jacket. She finished her look with a single strand of pearls, vintage styled earrings and statement-making red patent leather pumps. Her bridesmaids looked fabulous in Tiffany blue gowns and red peep toe pumps in patent leather to match the bride. All of the ladies carried red rose bouquets for a cool, modern style. Daunta and his groomsmen were dapper in gray, Daunta in a three piece suit, his guys in vests and shirts. And of course, they rocked red accessories to match the ladies!

At the reception, tabes were set with ivory linens and Tiffany blue napkins. Red details enhanced the color story and pieces like the vintage suitcase they used as a card box and rustic wine barrels completed the decor. Pictures of the couple from throughout their relationship were lovingly displayed and instead of a traditional wedding cake, Candace and Daunta cut a wedding pie. A special hashtag was created so that guests could share their pics on social media and as the sun went down over the mountains, this adorable couple lit up the dance floor. Congratulations Candace and Daunta!
