Victoria and Tim spent their first weekend away together at the Farmhouse Inn in Madison, GA, it also happens to be where Tim proposed on a sunrise walk to nearby Lake Oconee. That day, they kept the news of their engagement to themselves, exploring the area and attending a local festival where they bought a wooden trivet that would later serve as their cake stand. When the wedding planning began, this Savannah based couple knew that returning to the Farmhouse Inn would make the day absolutely perfect. They exchanged vows in the shade of an ancient tree that was adorned with hanging florals and rustic accents, in a ceremony officiated by a dear friend. Victoria says, they didn’t really have a color scheme, just “anything that was found in nature and of the season”, their talented friend created the floral designs and “hit it out of the park!”
Victoria loved that her BleuBelle gown was “easy, breezy” and not “stuffy”. The light and airy design and illusion neckline were beautifully boho and she says she “had a blast” with her design team at the fittings. She was absolutely stunning in it and her crown of flowers was the perfect compliment. To complete her look, she wore two heirloom pieces from Tim’s family, a necklace and a bracelet. And as she put it, she “wore them with honor”. Tim was handsome in his navy blue suit and pale blue tie.
Vintage pieces, family heirlooms and antiques took center stage at the reception, truly personalizing the decor. And all of the florals were sourced from a local farm in Savannah. Victoria says she “wanted everyone to feel welcome and to enjoy themselves”, so she provided flip flops, sunglasses and flower crowns so guests could get in the spirit of the day. The “BohoBus” was a huge hit. It served as a photo booth and getaway car while enhancing the day’s vintage styling. The newlyweds’ first dance was introduced by a close friend, who happens to be a local radio personality and the day after the wedding, this caring couple donated all of their flowers and leftover food to a local rehab facility. Congratulations Victoria and Tim!
