Candice and Drew: Autumn in New York

by Amy Serrago

Candice and Drew met online and spent hours talking before they met in person. They bonded over hot chocolate and their whirlwind romance was off and running. They dated for about six months before Drew decided he would ask Candice’s dad for her hand in marriage. After he did, Dad got excited and spilled the beans in front of Candice. Later that same day, Candice accidentally got a group text from Drew’s dad confirming Drew’s plans. When the couple was back home, Candice said to Drew “Hey, if everyone else knows, I want to know too”! He told her he’d been planning a big proposal, but Candice said she didn’t need that. So, there on the couch, surrounded by the dogs, Drew got out the ring and through tears of joy, asked Candice to be his wife. She said yes and wedding planning was underway!

Candice and Drew planned their Tribeca wedding in only six months! Their day started with first looks atop their venue, Tribeca Rooftop before the ceremony. Candice is allergic to flowers, so her florist had a challenge on her hands. She did an amazing job creating the wedding’s lush styling using greenery and succulents. Candice was gorgeous in her empire waisted gown with its sweetheart neckline and lacy sleeves. Drew was handsome in his gray three piece suit.

The reception space was transformed into a dreamy garden with moss and eucalyptus tree centerpieces and sparkling silver linens. Succulent accents were everywhere, including the living favors given to guests. Flickering votives and birchwood details completed the decor and after dinner a live band packed the dance floor! Candice says planning so quickly is only doable if you have help and her friends offered amazing support. Clearly, everything came together beautifully. Congratulations Candice and Drew!
