Marnie and Shane started out as study buddies. But they soon started hanging out, watching scary movies and making McDonald’s runs. Marnie says their love grew from “a place of childlike wonder, bonding over a simple love of adventures, cartoons, and a silly sense of humor.” Shane fit in perfectly with Marnie’s family and that’s when she knew he was the one. The inspiration for their wedding was bright, happy and fun. Though they didn’t have a theme, Marnie describes the decor as rustic-chic with a touch of sunshine. Yellow rose petals lined the aisle as Marnie entered to The Beatles, Here Comes the Sun. Then she and Shane exchanged vows in a heartfelt ceremony.
Marnie was gorgeous in her pale blush gown with its layered skirting and white appliqué details. She finished her look with a sparkling “y” necklace and carried a cheerful bouquet of yellow and white roses with succulent accents. Her bridesmaids were lovely in sky blue and Shane and his groomsmen were handsome in light gray. Shane wore a yellow bow tie with his suit and his guys wore sky blue to match the ladies.
At the reception, tables were set with white linens and the centerpieces featured yellow and white florals. The menu cards and favors leant pops of pale blue while wooden details and silver votives completed the tablescapes. In lieu of a guest book, Marnie and Shane had their guests sign corks and personal photos of the newlyweds were displayed alongside. As the sun set on the beach outside, the dance floor was rocking inside, with guests celebrating the couple of the hour. Congratulations Marnie and Shane!
