Courtney and Scott come from different parts of the world, she’s from Texas and he’s from Canada. They were inspired by the same book to travel to Africa as missionaries and that’s when they found each other. They discovered their shared interests and attraction to one another while seeking purpose in their lives and they fell deeply in love. Their wedding took place in Courtney’s home state, Texas, and a giant loblolly tree provided the perfect canopy.
Courtney was gorgeous in her vintage-inspired, W-too by Waters gown and cathedral length veil. Her bridesmaids wore non-matching gowns in neutral shades and all of the ladies carried bouquets of lush greenery and wildflowers. Scott and his groomsmen were dapper in blue suits. Scott paired his with a dark gray tie and his guys wore silver gray ones.
The reception tables were set with gold chargers and blue napkins. Elegant touches like brass candlesticks and greenery brought polish to the open air setting and Edison lights created a romantic glow. Courtney wore a white fur jacket for her first dance with Scott and later changed into a more casual look for dancing. Details like the globe guest book highlighted the couple’s international romance and guests waved Canadian flags as the newlyweds made their getaway. Congratulations Courtney and Scott!
