Kathryn and Justin met at work. Since they often both worked late, they shared countless long conversations in the office. Kathryn says they were “immediately comfortable with each other”. Eventually, their friendship grew into something more and they began dating. Justin proposed to Kathryn in Newport, RI, one of their favorite vacation spots. Because the city has played such an important role in their relationship, they decided it was the perfect place to say “I do”!
So, they exchanged vows in an outdoor ceremony overlooking the bay. Although neither of them is very religious, they chose to have a minister perform their ceremony and he really took the time to get to know them as a couple. Which made the ceremony, as Kathryn put it, “authentic and sincere”.
Kathryn says it took her a while to find the perfect dress, but she nailed it! She was absolutely stunning in her fitted lace gown. Its styling was classic, meanwhile, its illusion back detail gave it a sexy, modern twist. Justin knew he wanted a modern twist on a traditional tuxedo and he found it at Hugo Boss. He was dapper in his blue tux and its black collar was the prefect place to pin his feather boutonnière.
The reception decor had a modern, minimalist theme. Because of the natural beauty of their surroundings, Kathryn and Justin kept things simple. Crisp white linens and monochromatic florals combined with pops of blue for an elegant, beachy vibe. After enjoying cocktails on the lawn, the newlyweds kicked off the party with their first dance. Soon, all of their guests were enjoying what Kathryn called “one heck of a dance party”. Congratulations Kathryn and Justin!
