Ashley and Michael’s NYC Club Wedding

by Amy Serrago

Ashley and Michael said “I do” at the iconic Metropolitan Club. The historic venue sits at the southeast edge of Manhattan’s Central Park and is a stately reminder of a bygone era of opulence. Their day started with first looks in the club, the grand staircase providing a luxurious backdrop. After that intimate moment, Ashley and Michael exchanged vows under a grand chuppah covered in cascading white orchids. Their traditional Jewish ceremony ended when Michael broke the glass and then the newlyweds signed their ketubah, a traditional Jewish marriage contract.

Ashley was stunning in her sleek beaded gown by Berta. It’s understated elegance fit beautifully in the club’s ornate surroundings. Meanwhile, Michael and his groomsmen were dapper in classic black tuxes. And the bridesmaids wore non-matching gowns in dark blue tones.

The reception decor featured all white florals and countless candles gave the room a romantic glow. A combination of tall and short centerpieces added dimension while gilded brocade linens brought extra sparkle to the space. After Ashley and Michael’s first dance, they enjoyed a good luck hora led by a live band complete with horn section! After dinner, the happy couple cut their four-tiered wedding cake before dancing the night away with their guests. Congratulations Ashley and Michael!
