Zara and Daniel are dancers. They met when Daniel came to dance at Zara’s ballet school in Canberra, Australia. And they just clicked! Several years later, they were still going strong when Daniel decided it was time to propose. It was Christmas Day and they were staying with Daniel’s parents in Melbourne.
First, Daniel took Zara on a long walk around the city and after they returned he took her into a quiet room in the bustling home. Zara was excited, because she thought Daniel had gotten her a puppy for Christmas. Meanwhile, he got down on one knee and asked her to be his bride! Of course, she said yes. And though there was no puppy, Zara says an engagement ring from her wonderful man certainly made up for it!
They chose Stones of the Yarra Valley as their venue, because it reminded them of a trip they’d taken to Tuscany. And started the day with a chapel ceremony. Zara was radiant in her blush pink gown, designed just for her by Milva, Russia. Daniel wore a custom suit made with pale pink fabrics from Russia and Italy to compliment Zara’s dress.
The reception was in the barn and featured a family style dinner. Wooden farmhouse tables were set with pastel florals, greenery and brass candlesticks. In addition, there were burlap runners and gold votives to complete the decor. After that, Zara changed into a shorter, ballet-style dancing dress and she and Daniel showed off some incredible moves during their first dance. As the evening came to a close, the newlyweds made their escape through a sea of sparklers and took off in their getaway pink Cadillac. Congratulations Zara and Daniel!
