Fly Fishing Engagement Photos at Yosemite National Park

Captured & submitted by Scenic Vows

Leah and Riley are no strangers to Yosemite National Park. They have spent summers backpacking the wilderness, fly fishing in the Merced river and even hiking the notorious Half Dome. It only seemed natural for their engagement photos to be taken there, in a place they loved so much! The original plan was to go explore Tuolumne but Mother Earth had a different idea! The first snow storm of the year was upon us and the Tioga Pass closed the day they were supposed to meet. So instead they met up in the valley where the leaves were still bright and beautiful colors. They stopped by the Yosemite Chapel and took pictures with adorable wooden signs that Riley made for them. Then they headed to Cook’s meadow for photos in front of the magnificent Half Dome and then over to El Capitan meadow to look for rock climbers! They ended the day down canyon at one of their favorite hidden swimming holes. Riley and Leah took out their fly fishing rods and showed off their skills as they drank Sierra Nevada’s and watched the sun set.
