Rustic DIY Spring Wedding at a Ski Resort

Captured & submitted by Andrejka Photography

Rachel and Kevin really thought outside the box… or should we say the season… when it came to finding a wedding venue.  They chose a ski resort… in the spring!  They loved the rustic log cabin look, and they complemented it with fun DIY details.  Here’s their story in their own words:

“Kevin and I met through a friend in 2010. We got engaged in New Mexico while on a road trip. He was still finishing school, thus the reason for our 2 year engagement. For our wedding, we wanted it to be a relaxed and fun kind of day, not super structured or traditional. Our venue was a ski lodge which we fell in love with because we love a log cabin look. As for photography, we were looking for someone who could capture the candid moments of the day rather than everything being posed… as well as put an artistic flair on it and show our story.”

Their photoshoot was so much fun! From photos on the chairlift to the huge, multi-story stone fireplace that was the backdrop for their ceremony, they rocked the rustic look with many fun and elegant touches thrown in!
