A Surprise Proposal at Watson Falls

Captured & submitted by Dezerae Jobe Photography

Watson Falls is a 272-foot waterfall on Watson Creek in Douglas county. I have captured anywhere from small Elopement, Adventure Engagements and Surprise Proposals at this specific waterfall over the years and it blows my mind with the beauty this specific waterfall presents. One specific session that grabs my attention when I think of Watson falls is the Surprise Proposal of Emilee and Carri. Emilee messaged me months in-advance and told me of their vacation trip of traveling through Oregon and wanted to do a surprise proposal with the love of her life Carri and also wanted to include their fur-baby’s. Her and I got to planning and when it came time for the day, things went perfectly as planned.

As soon as the emotional proposal happened, I got to introduce myself to them both and the adventure began. We walked all around the bottom of the falls, exploring its beauty and capturing this exciting moment. We chatted about their love for each other, how long they have been together, their fur-babies and I got to learn more about who they are as a couple. Towards the end of the session, I asked them if they would be interested in getting into the water. To my surprise, they were excited to and it made for the most epic images. I really love how these two were up for adventure and because of that, the images we created together were more than just a session; it was truly an adventure session.

When someone asks me about a favorite adventure session; Emilee and Carri will always come to mind. Not only for how awesome and adventurous these two are, but also because of the inviting and playful sense of humor they also have. I wish these two a hundred, thousand years of happiness and wild- crazy adventures.
