Alex and Devon love skiing/snowboarding together, camping, and card games. So when it came to planning their engagement session, we knew we had to include all of the above! They booked a cross country ski-in yurt at Tennessee Pass, and I documented their evening.
We met up to grab a warm drink in Leadville, took a few cute photos of the two of them wandering, and then headed up towards Tennessee Pass Nordic Center. Along the way we took a minute to take a few photos of them with their brand new truck. Then they dropped their bags off (the nordic center kindly takes the suitcases up to the yurt), and got ready to cross country ski.
Alex and Devon enjoyed their trail to their yurt with the occasional flurry of snow and a few mountains peaking out from the clouds. Once we made it to their yurt, they took off their cross country skis and immediately rolled around in the snow. After some chilly fun, they changed into what I lovingly call Colorado formalwear, for some portraits outside their yurt. We wrapped up the day with a glass of wine and a good game of cribbage.
