The legal age for marriage is 18 years old. Couples under 18 must have parental consent. Blood tests are not required. There is no waiting period and licenses are valid for 60 days. Both bride and groom must be present to apply for and sign the marriage license. Identification (e.g., driver’s license or military ID) must include a photo and social security number. Divorce/death information regarding previous marriages must be provided under oath. Cost is $30 (cash); Prince William County is $32.50 cash. Call your location for office hours.
