Kate and Rob’s Picturesque Horse Country Wedding

Kate and Rob said “I do” under clear blue Kentucky skies at the Gingerwoods Event Hall, in the heart of horse country. The venue offered a large deck overlooking acres of lush, green preserve land that was the perfect spot for their ceremony as well as a reception space with plenty of windows, for a light, airy feel and rich wood panelling that created the perfect backdrop for them to design the wedding of their dreams!

The couple rented a lovely, rustic cabin near the venue to get ready for their big day. Surrounded by woods, it was the perfect spot to capture images of Kate and Rob’s first looks that had a secluded and romantic feel. Rob is a huge Beatles fan, so as a surprise, Kate walked down the aisle to a string quartet’s rendition of “Across the Universe”, one of his favorite songs. It set the tone for a day of celebrating this fun couple’s love for each other and the friends and family that came to share the day with them.

Kate chose accent colors that really popped against the natural wood of the reception space and the expansive green lawns that surrounded the venue. The florals featured peonies, poppies and roses in shades of coral, pink and blush that made a big impact in this spring wedding’s decor. Kate’s lace and chiffon gown with it’s plunging neckline was simply elegant and we just love that she went for a bold red-lipped look with her makeup! Gold accents and plenty of votive candles completed the reception decor and guests got a chance to snap some polaroid selfies for the guest book before enjoying a decadent dessert bar and dancing the night away.
