Designing Custom Honeymoons and Destination Weddings

Many brides enjoy planning their wedding, but may leave the honeymoon planning to their future husband, or hire an expert in travel to help plan the perfect getaway after the wedding. Some brides and grooms plan a destination wedding – getting married at their honeymoon location. Divine Destination Weddings & Honeymoons takes care of all of that for brides and grooms, giving them the opportunity to truly relax during their special time.

Divine has 13 agents that work from all across the U.S. so no matter where you live, you will find a travel expert in your area to help you plan your honeymoon near you or to some exotic paradise on the other side of the world. They work with some of the travel industry’s leading suppliers and are associated with the luxury travel consortia Signature Travel Network.

“As a company, we are dedicated to providing the highest standard of service and detailed planning so your romantic travel will be all that you have dreamed of,” said Dana Franklin, a Divine Travel Consultant for the Virginia region. “When planning a destination wedding or honeymoon, we take care of the details and romantic touches so the couple will have a flawless experience.”

Founder April Schmitt said, “Our company evolved out of the need for couples to have a unique and curated travel experience. A honeymoon should feel more romantic and more special than a vacation. We wanted to set the standard for service, customization and a hands-on approach to the planning process.”

Having Divine handle your honeymoon has many advantages since they have connections you may not have. Schmitt said, “We have relationships with worldwide hotels and providers to negotiate incredible rates while providing an escalated experience.” Brides and grooms also receive customized service to ensure they get a one of a kind romantic honeymoon or destination wedding.

With $4.3 million in total sales, Divine has seen it all. Franklin said one of her most memorable clients was a 92- and 88-year-old couple who married after both lost their lifelong spouses. “They were giddy with excitement,” said Franklin. “They went on a Holland America Cruise! The cruise line assisted and made a big deal out of it – decorating their stateroom, announcing them during their honeymoon/anniversary cocktail reception, and presenting them with a special cake made just for them.”

When asked what is most popular right now with their newlywed clients, Franklin said, “I find couples today are well traveled and want more exotic honeymoon destinations to experience! I also am finding that couples want to give back so we can arrange visits to a local town or village and many bring school supplies to take and distribute.”
