Ashley and Max’s Rustic Vintage Farm Wedding

Ashley and Max are a fun and musical couple. He’s in a band and plays several instruments, and she’s a dance instructor! They chose the idyllic Ashley Farms in Yorkville, Illinois for their autumn wedding. The venue boasts a historic farm house, stunning grounds and a two-story barn that offered them amazing photographic opportunities and plenty of space to party! The day started with first looks on the porch of the 1800’s house before the ceremony inside the barn, which featured a traditional handfasting ceremony to celebrate the couple’s Irish heritage.

Ashley looked gorgeous in her antique lace gown with its delicate cap sleeves and key hole back and the bodices of her bridesmaids’ navy blue gowns echoed the lace in her own. The bride’s look was completed by vintage accessories and a classic updo accented with baby’s breath and all the ladies carried bouquets of daisies, anemones and carnations in pink and white. Max’s brown vest and khaki pants were the perfect look for the rustic vintage styling of the day and the pocket watch he carried with him was a family heirloom. His groomsmen were the picture of casual chic in their khakis and suspenders and all the gentlemen wore blue gingham shirts, perfect for a classic farm wedding.

After the ceremony, Ashley and Max were treated to a mini concert by some of Max’s bandmates. They got out their instruments and serenaded guests while they mingled and enjoyed cocktails and snacks. Large vintage chandeliers hung over the center of the barn as the couple took to the floor to share their first dance and plenty of vintage and rustic accents enhanced the day’s styling. The tables were set with pine cones and autumn leaves surrounding towering centerpieces of homemade caramels and mini cupcakes that celebrated the seasons rich colors. As the sun set, Ashley, Max and their guests enjoyed dinner and dancing and got a chance to relax around the fire pit right outside the barn. A perfect autumn evening.
