Michelle and Drew’s Woodland Themed Hotel Wedding is the Cat’s Meow

Michelle started her wedding day getting her adorable kitties ready for their close up! With laughter and joy filling the air, she and Drew prepared for their first looks at the Renaissance Cleveland Hotel where their reception would take place later, in the Grand Ballroom. They met in front of the hotel’s gilded front entrance to share a private moment before heading to the church where they would exchange vows in a traditional ceremony. The aisle was lined with red carpet and violet florals and lush greenery adorned the pews.

Michelle was positively glowing in her lace, trumpet cut gown with its illusion neckline and sheer back detailing. She finished her look with a long veil for added drama. Her maid of honor was lovely in lavender, a color that would take center stage in the reception’s stunning decor. Both ladies carried lush bouquets of violet and lavender toned florals with exotic accents like succulents and ornamental cabbage flowers. Drew and his guys were handsome in three-piece gray suits which they paired with deep purple ties.

The reception decor had a woodland theme and was absolutely breathtaking. Tall centerpieces of rich purple orchids, branches and bubble candles stood high above some tables while others sported smaller arrangements of purple and white florals with wooden accents. The head table was draped in a lush runner of greenery and moss and behind it hung a large watercolor backdrop. Accents of gray and silver could be found throughout the space and woodsy details like the greenery spotted with twinkle lights that graced the foot of the stage completed the decor.  There was a modern lounge area set up near the bar where guests could relax and enjoy a cocktail and a sign near the guest book encouraged friends and family to help the newlyweds “plan their date nights” by jotting down ideas on index cards and dropping them into a large vase. What a fun idea! After dinner, guests enjoyed dancing to the amazing sounds of the live band, Your Generation in Concert, pausing briefly to watch as Michelle and Drew cut their gray ombre wedding cake.
