Courtney and Anthony love the mossy forest setting that the Pacific Northwest is famous for. They chose the Cheakamus Center in British Columbia, Canada because it’s nestled deep in the woods, but offers ultra modern architecture. The reception space features a wall of windows that looks out over the wooded terrain below. Their wedding day started with first looks in the forest before they exchanged their vows under the towering trees. They included a tree planting ceremony with their vows as an homage to the gorgeous natural setting they were surrounded by.
Courtney was radiant in her lace A-line gown with its deep V neckline and delicate cap sleeves. She finished her look with vintage-inspired accessories and a pair of Kate Spade sparkly Keds. Her bridesmaids’ deep plum gowns popped against the wooded backdrop and all of the ladies carried bouquets of white anemones, purple mums and succulents with fern leaf and eucalyptus accents. Anthony and his groomsmen were dashing in dark gray, Anthony in a white tie, his guys in plum.
At the reception, tables were set with crisp white linens and delicate wildflower centerpieces sat on wooden pedestals to enhance the day’s forest theme. Succulents were also a huge part of the floral design, carrying the theme from the ladies’ bouquets through to table accents and the delicious looking cupcakes that Courtney and Anthony had instead of a traditional cake. They were also given as favors that guests could grow in their own homes. After dinner, the newlyweds were treated to speeches by friends and family wishing them well in their new married life and played the shoe game before dancing the night away surrounded by the misty forest outside. Congratulations Courtney and Anthony!
