Mandy and Kian’s Tropical Key West Wedding

Mandy and Kian met through a mutual friend while they were both living in Augusta, GA. Mandy was finishing her last semester of college when her friend Alicia brought Kian to her place. Kian was instantly charmed by Mandy’s hospitality and the two bonded over their shared sense of humor and love of Mexican food. They started meeting weekly for Mexican and margaritas because they enjoyed each other’s company. One day Mandy was feeling under the weather and Kian took a sick day to hang out with her. They spent that day talking and watching reruns. That’s when they realized they were in love. After graduation Mandy moved back to Florida. She and Kian did the long distance thing for 10 months before Kian moved to Florida too. The rest, as they say, is history!

Mandy and Kian chose to get married in Key West because they’ve spent several vacations there and simply love it. They chose Hemingway House for its tropical setting and resident felines. Having two cats of their own, they wanted some friendly kitties around for the big day. Their outdoor ceremony took place in the house’s lush gardens. Mandy was gorgeous in her lace sheath gown and floral crown and her bridesmaids exuded tropical ease and beauty. Kian was dashing in his gray suit and open collared shirt and his groomsmen were handsome in gray pants and white button-downs.

The ladies in the wedding party carried stunning tropical bouquets and the reception decor featured palm leaves and pops of color. Dinner tables were set in the open air, under strands of Edison lights and draped with ivory runners. Modern geometric lanterns completed the tablescapes and personal photographs were lovingly displayed. Mandy and Kian got their wish and had a chance to pose with some of the cats that live on the property. And when a little rain fell at the end of the night – they just kept on dancing. Congratulations Mandy and Kian!
