St. James Court Engagement Session

Captured & submitted by Green Apple Photography

Zac and I met three years ago at his sister Ali’s wedding so when he contacted me saying he had found the love his life I was beyond thrilled for him.

Courtney is everything I could have wanted for Zac.

Supportive, fun-loving, intelligent, and a downright sweetheart.

When they arrived to St. James Ct for their timeless engagement session, it was like I had met an old friend in Courtney.

Her bubbly laughter hid her nervousness and as we walked I watched the anxiety melt away.

She enjoyed every second of just being with Zac.

And that’s the best way for any couple to be.

In love.

This next week they’ll be departing for a truly exciting adventure and moving to Charleston, South Carolina for Zac to complete his residency in Internal Medicine with a focus on Oncology.  He wants to pursue research in the field.

Crazy enough, Courtney is a nurse so their schedules will allow them to continue to support one another through this crazy time.

I’m so glad we’ll be a part of their wedding next April at The Refinery.

We asked Court about their relationship and here’s what she had to say 🙂

How did you meet?

The famous Bumble app!

When/where did you go on your first date?

We were both out with friends and decided to leave our groups to meet up at a karaoke bar after a few weeks of texting. Our actual first night was supposed to be the next night but we were right down the street from each other and thought – why wait??

Tell me a bit about how you fell in love?

Back to the karaoke bar – we actually ended up singing 3 songs together and had so much fun. We’ve spent just about every day together since then and will both tell you that we fell in love that first night we met and the rest is history.

How did your fiancé propose?

On December 31, 2020 we were on a hike looking at waterfalls in Asheville, North Carolina and Zac kept pulling me off the side to look at “the view” and at one point he went silent and I asked if he was okay and he just said “no” so I asked what was wrong and he said he was nervous because he didn’t even know how to start with what he was about to say.

I immediately knew and honestly neither of us can tell you what he said after that.

What are you most excited about for your wedding?

Having so much fun at the reception with all of our friends and family!

If your love story was a movie what would you title it?

464 Day Fiance (after our fav show 90 day fiancé that we watch religiously)

Describe your relationship in 5 words? fun, fairytale, affectionate, spontaneous, easy going

What is something that means the most to both of you?

Zac said “you” when I asked this question and I would say the same 🙂

What is your favorite thing about your fiancé?

Both of us say how funny the other is!

How have you grown as a couple since you started dating?

Our relationship has always been strong, but we have learned how to balance several things (new jobs, wedding planning, moving) and learned how to work as a team.

Favorite Quirk about each other?

Zac: How Courtney smells all of her clothes before she puts them on

Courtney: How Zac scans literally everything he eats into his fitness app

If you could spend 24 hours with your fiancé, what would you be doing?

Drinking a lot of coffee, eating a lot of food, and watching A LOT of TLC

When do you feel most loved by your person?

When we wake up in the morning and make breakfast together and just have time to hangout

What vendors did you wear or use for your engagement outfits? TJ Maxx
